Bring your vector line art to life with these awesome watercolor brushes for Illustrator. These versatile hand-drawn brushes give any vector line art a painted watercolor look while remaining fully editable. Use to create illustrations or make custom calligraphy brush lettering. You can also mask the brushes inside vector shapes to create backgrounds or textured graphic elements.

These brushes load into your Adobe Illustrator brushes palette allowing you to easily apply them to any drawn stroke. Using the brushes with the included watercolor paper backgrounds and setting transparency to “multiply” helps give a realistic watercolor effect. These brushes work just like other vector line strokes, simply change the weight and color for different looks and effects.

HOW TO LOAD THE BRUSHES

1. Open a new or existing Adobe Illustrator file
2. Select “Window” and then “Brushes” to open the brushes palette
3. From the drop-down menu in the upper right corner select “Open Brush Library”
4. At the bottom of the menu select “Other Library”
5. Locate the Illustrator brush file you just downloaded
6. The watercolor brushes will load in a new brushes palette
7. Click on any brush to add it to your main brushes palette
8. Enjoy!
